With the spring Paso Fino show circuit heading into full swing it was time to fire up the equine rocket (motorcycle) and head off for another show year. I have been biking to shows for several years because...well, I just feel like it. The scenery is a hell of a lot nicer on a bike than in a plane or car. So after knocking off shows in Columbia, SC and Syracuse, NY, I headed for Ocala, FL and the Spectrum show. However on day two, by the time I was just outside of Savannah, GA, it was late, I was hot, tired and bored, it was getting dark and decided to camp out. After all it was cheap and easy for me. So I pulled into one of those friendly family campgrounds, paid my nine bucks and the nice lady said I could head way to the back by the lakes where it would be quiet. And so it was.
Good questions, huh? Lucky for me some camp dog drifted over to hang out with me. Naturally I searched for some treats to keep him around for awhile and kept feeding him (ironically) Lifesavers which he thought was 'cool' and eventually took a nap next to my tent. Ahhh, "Gooooood boy" I said, crawled in the tent, said a "what the hell" and was out like a light.........[snip]
